Magic in the fields....

The sun has been warm the last few days. The temps not dropping below freezing at night.... the snow has disappeared from the fields flooding the streets with mucky puddles and salt that seems to cling to everything. My big white beast comes in at the end of the day with brown boots and muzzle...... I'm afraid to take a good look at the yard for fear of what dinosaur remains she has decided to attempt to unearth.

Every where I looked today as I drove home, the sun slowly setting it looked brown, not yet quite alive... and then... there is was.... I crested a small hill fields of the farm on either side.... and snow... bright white snow stretching out over at least 20 acres!!!!

But this snow swirled like the fluffiest of powder taken skyward once more by a breeze. It rose high into the sky forming clouds, only to swirl back down to the earth like a silent tornado gently touching the ground... resting for but a moment before the breeze took it yet again. Time and again I watched as the snow swirled... and when the setting sun happened upon their wings they seemed to glow and only then could you see the black tips of their wings.... the snow geese are back... passing through... they'll take advantage of the left over corn in the fields on their long journey back north. Those brown muddy fields with their mucky puddles, seemingly totally void of value....holds .... even now....the very sustenance of life and hope.

Magic in the fields.

Thank you Dr. E. I love when the snow geese come through the area.

As for my weekend... I'm quite certain it is going to be awesome.. especially since I have Monday off... I'll be able to recoup!!!
